The 2008 Marine Corps Marathon on October 26, 2008 is closed to open registration. The Marathon filled all 30,000 spots in just 5 days. The only way to run in the Marathon is in support of a charity. The Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross is a Marathon Charity Partner. Because we are a charity we are asking that all runners raise money to benefit our local Red Cross Chapter. There is a minimum requirement for the runners to raise a $1000 in donations by September 20, 2008. We do offer training, training runs, and seminars to help you prepare for race day. As a runner with a Marathon Charity Partner, you will have access to our Charity Village after the race. The cost for the race registration and for the trining is $140. The $140 is due at time of signing up and is non-refundable. Please remember, you are not just running a race, but you are supporting a great charity. The Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross has been serving the Prince William Community since 1917. All funds raised will stay with in the Prince William Community.
