Looking for a climbing partner (Arlington, VA)

It's sad to say, but I think I've reached a point where my desire for adventure exceeds that of my friends. I am an avid hiker/mountain climber and am looking for someone to start rock climbing with. I have some experience (various indoor rock walls and the Grand Teton), so I'm looking for someone who is a relative amateur but wants to grow their skill set and climb more (interest in ice climbing a bonus).

I have summitted mountains throughout the world via alpine routes, so I am not unfamiliar with climbing (and I would hope you have some hiking experience as well). If our skills sets are closely matched, I would not be opposed to long distance climbing/hiking trips outside the immediate DC area.

Gender is not an issue, but I would prefer a reasonably similar age (I am 27).

I'm currently considering: some combination of: 1) Normandy and the Loire Valley of France; 2) Ireland and Northern Ireland; or 3) Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic or Croatia.

Our itinerary will largely be in rural, hilly and sometimes mountainous countryside, with side trips to a city or two of cultural or historic interest. Overnights in small-town B&Bs, guesthouses and chambre d'hotes. Dinners in inexpensive restaurants and pubs.

I ride for fun, adventure and exercise at a leisurely 10-15 mph, stopping en route for photography, coffee & pastries, visiting local attractions and meeting the locals going about their daily lives. I'm looking for a personable travel companion with an intrepid spirit, a good sense of humor, the stamina to ride six to eight hours a day with a full load and the desire to explore the world by bike.

Previous bicycle touring experience is desirable, though not necessary. The willingness to bike happily in whatever weather Mother Nature brings our way is, however, important.

Table Tennis Players,

We are starting a Table Tennis League at the Dulles SportsPlex in the near future. The starting date will be determined when we have enough players to start the league. We are flexible with the day and time, so please let me know what would work best for you. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. The price for the league will be $25. The league will consist of regular season games and then playoffs. The number of regular season games will be at least eight, but we are still trying to determine that. There will be three different skill levels consisting of the following: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Ok, I have plenty of time to work out but not that much of motivation, I tried several programs/energy drinks and it's not that easy, well anyway I live in the place with GYM and POOL(Crystal City), my recent program is about 1 hour in the gym (different parts every day) and after that 30/45 min pool intervals/cardio, if anybody is looking for a something similar or you just want to use gym and pool fro free :-) shoot me an e-mail

I am interested in finding a weight loss partner / group. I am beginning "The Biggest Loser" plan, and hope to meet others that may be interested in sharing the experience with me. (Aug 1 if there is a group - immediately if there is only one partner)

The plan consist of 2 hour a day workouts - 6 days a week, eating and behavior modifications, and emotional support. (we will have to support each other as I can not afford professional support at this time.)
