Position: Website Redesign Project Manager
Hours & Location: Contractor: Initially 20 ¡V 30 Hours per week with possible increase in hours as implementation approaches. Onsite ¡V Herndon, VA
Job Description:
SCORE is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to serving entrepreneurs in the United States. SCORE is headquartered in Herndon, VA and has 12,400 volunteers and 364 chapters throughout the United States and its territories. SCORE volunteers are working and retired executives and business owners who donate their time and expertise as business counselors. SCORE was founded in 1964, and has served over 8.3 million entrepreneurs. We are America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs.
SCORE seeks a Project Manager to help the Director of Information Technology lead the Website Redesign. The Project Manager will be involved with external vendors to ensure they meet their deadlines and keep all internal stakeholders up to date on their progress. The Project Manager will have to be assertive and persistent in efforts to maintain communications with vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Director of IT and VP of Marketing to assist with managing and driving the deliverables of the new website design and implementation.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining updated project plans with goals, roles, deliverables and timelines.
- Manage schedule with web development vendor to address issues and identify and drive project timeline
- Coordinate conference calls, webinars and meetings.
- Manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
- Proactively identify changes in project scope, identify potential crises and report to all necessary parties
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
-BA with a minimum of 4 years professional experience managing web development projects.
-Strong individual performer and team player that can thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
-Website Design Experience
-Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Visio.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Highly organized, deadline driven.
-International and/or past nonprofit experience a plus.
-Proven track record of successfully implementing projects
-Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and marketing departments
