Director of Services Division
12 year old Government Services Company in Reston, VA seeks a Director for its new Services Division. The individual we hire will share our entrepreneurial spirit and have a "can do" attitude, along with the business skills to grow a division within our profitable company.
Responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for managing the daily operation of the Services Division and ensuring its success. Currently, the Company provides technical personnel to prime government contractors and other organizations. It currently has several top tier reference clients. The Director plans and directs the following functions: business development, bids and proposals, and service delivery. The Director reports to the CEO and is a member of the Senior Management Team. Initially, the Director will organize the division's work practices for optimum efficiency and profitability, relying on his/her personal skills to perform tasks. This is a "hands-on" position and you will need to roll up your sleeves and get it done. In return, we offer the opportunity to build something solid and share in its value.
As the Division grows, the Director will hire additional staff and coordinate the work to accomplish Division objectives. The Director is responsible for controlling the staff, contractors, workflow, and financial performance of the Services Division.
Qualifications - The person we hire for this growth position will have the following qualifications:
• Experience sourcing service contracts from government agencies, prime contractors, and sub-contractors.
• Current relationships in the Northern Virginia government contracting industry
• Ability to leverage an 8(a) service business with 14 NAICS codes of opportunity
• Experience recruiting and managing teams, including IT technical personnel
• Energized by working in an entrepreneurial setting and managing for results
• Exceptional project management skills
• Business degree
