The Joan Izzo Academy of Dance (JIAD) offers classes in ballet, pointe, pas de deux, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and Irish for all ages. JIAD strives to create a joyful learning experience as well as provide an excellent technical foundation in pre-professional dance. Our goal is to create an environment of mutual respect and camaraderie. We focus on self-confidence, self-discipline, and poise. We encourage all of our students to achieve their highest potential and to dance their best for the glory of God. More and more the current dance field seeks dancers who are versatile in al forms of dance with a solid core of ballet. Students from JIAD have gone on to programs with American Ballet Theatre of NYC, The Rock School of Pennsylvania, The Orlando Ballet, The Atlanta Ballet, Princeton Ballet, The Burklyn Ballet Theatre, Washington Ballet, as well as been selected over others to attend The Governor's School for the Gifted and the International Children's Festival at Wolf Trap (second year selected as featured artists).
