Educational Connections is currently looking for dynamic in-home tutors in the Fairfax County area to support students in of upper level math (Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, calculus ab/bc, Statistics, etc.), elementary reading and math, SSAT prep, and study skills.
If you have experience teaching students with learning disabilities, dyslexia, or AD/HD, we'd especially love to speak with you! We currently only have positions open that require a school year commitment through June of 2010.
We ask that you:
- have classroom teaching or extensive tutoring experience with children or adolescents
- have reliable personal transportation, as many of our clients are not near the metro
- plan on working a minimum of at least four hours per week during the school year
- have an enthusiastic, engaging and encouraging teaching style
- have at least a bachelor's degree
For our tutors, we provide:
- professional development workshops
- beginning hourly rates between $33- $38
- outstanding tutor support
