Web Application Developer / Software Engineer / Programmer / .NET

http://www.omnitecinc.com) is the recognized leader in providing web based solutions to the Public Affairs operations for much of the DOD is currently seeking a Full Time .NET Web Application Developer. This is a four and one/half year contract with the Defense Media Activity (DMA) to provide software development, new media integration, maintenance and management support for Department of Defense public-facing websites.
From the design & development of web based Content Management engines on the back end, through full "end-to-end" integration of the most robust web & portal technologies, OMNITEC Solutions has developed this reputation through the hard work of each IT professional we employ.
This position requires close/heavy interaction w/ the client, end users, and our other Developers and System Administrators. A flexible personality and good problem resolution skills are imperative.
US Citizenship REQUIRED, w/ ability to obtain a Secret; (NOTE: If you have a TS or TS+ clearance, we can hold it)
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the Microsoft .Net Web development platform (2.0 minimum, 3.5 preferred). ASP.Net via C#, LINQ, VB.Net;
- Fundamental understanding of Object Oriented Programming with coding methodologies such as Design Patterns a plus;
- Strong, demonstrable understanding of programmatic data-access to SQL Server, including insert/update/delete/list of data;
- Full System Lifecycle Development experience. Programmers are expected to be able to communicate well with the client and end-user, and are required to take ownership of both inherited and new code;
- Preference for Knowledge of XML/RSS and serialized data format;
- Preference for developers with demonstrable understanding of PHP, Flash/Flex, HTML, CSS;
- Preference for developers with experience leading projects of any size.
