Weekly crop times in my Ashburn-Broadlands home on alternating Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Crops are $5 (and you get a gift for attending, and another for bringing a friend!), and you have the added benefit of my extensive inventory for those frustrating times when you run out of tape runner in the middle of the Christmas page or decide you really need those spring stickers, after all. Each month, I have a Mini Teaching Moment topic, and I hold the MTMs during each crop. In July, I'm teaching album completion in five hours or less. In August, school year albums. (I move into another room, if necessary, so others may simply work on their albums during those 15-20 minutes.) *I am a Creative Memories consultant, but this is simply a crop time, not a sales event. Since none of you have ever been to my home, just wanted to let you know I have one greyhound and am adopting a second this Thurs 17 July. Greyhounds are the sweetest creatures and love people. I will still be adjusting the new dog but I know she'll be a joyful addition to my family.

When arriving in my TH neighborhood, look for spaces that do not say Reserved. Do not park in a reserved spot or risk having your car towed. There is street parking near the playground so just give yourself time to find a spot, esp on a Sat AM before people start running errands...LOL.

The Fairfax County Fair is actually two events held together over one weekend: The Fairfax 4-H Fair and the Frying Pan Park Farm Show. The Fairfax County Fair includes 4-H exhibits, horse shows, livestock and rabbit judging, dog and pet shows, kiddie rides, old-fashioned games, goat milking, a pie-eating contest, demonstrations, 4-H Fashion Show, crafters, and live entertainment.

The Frying Pan Park Farm Show offers great fun for the whole family including hayrides, cow milking, blacksmith and farrier demos, animal washing and grooming, and sheep shearing.

The park is located about 1.5 miles off of exit 10 on the Dulles Toll Road.
