Senior Web/Graphic Designer (Freelance/Contract Work)

Functional Responsibilities (summary): Candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high accountability for creative standards as well as having a minimum of five years experience in design and layout for online, electronic and print corporate identity packages, ads, direct mail pieces, etc.
Location: Work from home with occasional on site creative meetings
Specific Skills:
• Ability to create new design concepts, strategies and innovative approaches compatible with the latest browsers
• Understanding of site architecture, data flow and intuitive navigation schemes
• Knowledge of HTML, XHTML, and CSS
• Proficiency in JavaScript, XML/XSL, ASP and standards-based coding a plus
• Expertise in the latest version of Macintosh-based Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign)
Position Type: Freelance / Contract Work
Minimum/General Experience: Minimum of two (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area. Active portfolio is a must.
Educational Requirements: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field of study is required. A BA in Graphics or Communications or its equivalent is preferred.
