The Account Manager’s responsibilities include:
* Managing new and existing accounts brought in by our sales team;
* Participation in project and campaign planning meetings with customers and company staff;
* Weekly phone communication, regular electronic communication, and monthly review meetings with customers;
* Proactively looking for hidden opportunities to fulfill customer’s needs;
* Upselling customers to service packages that help them achieve the best results;
* Ensuring customer delight;
* Constantly learning about developments in our industry which can benefit, harm, or impact our customers;
* Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and sharing findings with team members; and
* Managing the pipeline for customers and working with other Account Managers to supply a weekly update to department heads to ensure opportunity fulfillment.
You will work closely with our Internet Marketing, Web Development, and Hosted Services teams to ensure we provide the best possible experience for our customers. Team interaction is as vital to your success as your professional skills. You must be committed to driving measurable results for our customers and have passion for what you do.
Job requirements include:
* 2 - 5 years’ experience in business-to-business sales and account management;
* Demonstrated experience in emarketing/Internet marketing;
* Superior organizational skills and attention to detail;
* Strong customer service orientation – the ability to listen to a customer’s challenges, strengths, and goals and use that information to help the customer achieve success;
* Personable nature and the ability to develop real relationships with customers;
* Exemplary analytical skills, time management skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision;
* Excellent communication skills via phone, in person, and in writing;
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products;
* Familiarity with Google Documents a plus;
* Ability to travel throughout Metro DC area and possibly beyond to meet with customers; and
* U.S. citizenship and ability to work in our office.
