Shelter Night Manager works under the supervision of the Emergency Assistance Shelter Coordinator, who is responsible for the shelter residents and ensuring a safe environment for the shelter residents. Provides human services to residents in Prince William County, Virginia, 30 miles south of Washington, D.C. The candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of the shelter residents, answering telephones and greeting visitors, conducts client intake and exit interviews. Receives and provides briefings to staff members concerning residents, oversees the shelter’s daily activities, and conducts periodic safety fire drills. Greet donors, accepts and logs all donations and attends and participates in training activities. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing, must demonstrate to ability to handle stressful situation and with calmness, composure and self-control, and must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
