Today, there are 32.9 million people who have been forced from their homes around the world due to war and persecution. With conflict still raging throughout the Middle East and in many more countries worldwide, 26 million people have been forced to relocate because of a loss of freedom, safety, and security. The devastation felt by populations in Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, and throughout both the developed and developing world continues grows. There is certainly nothing natural about this.
We are currently hiring for field canvassers to fundraise on behalf of USA for UNHCR – The United Nations Refugee Agency. The UN Refugee Agency - a two-time Nobel Peace Prize winner - provides protection, shelter, emergency food, water, medical care and other life-saving assistance to 32 million people worldwide, who have been forced to flee their homes due to war and persecution. This organization has been around for almost 60 years and has help more than 50 million refugees restart their lives working in 110 countries.
Can we save every man, woman, and child? Unfortunately, we cannot. Should we try? This position is for people that believe we should. This position is challenging, yet fun. You would be working with a team of individuals that are committed to the targets we set to assist USA for UNHCR in their work for these displaced people.
