Summary:
Works with outside training companies to locate and secure the optimum breadth of training curriculum available to meet PSDA and member companies’ needs. Researches existing outside, and member/industry training materials to incorporate into PSDA programs. Plans, develops, and administers sales training curriculums for employees of member companies. Works with education committee and the membership to pinpoint specific training needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Seeks out and develops useful contacts with business, association, industry related, PSDA members and other organizations to develop curriculums to meet the pre-determined sales and market development skills training needs of member companies.
Interviews, evaluates and selects sales trainers and training materials suitable for implementing in a curriculum specific to membership needs.
Prepares budget and determines allocation of funds for staff, supplies and equipment, and facilities. Works within budget to locate suitable existing training resources and negotiates, when appropriate, the optimum contracts to provide these resources to the membership.
Analyzes data from questionnaires, interviews, and group focus discussions to evaluate curriculum needs, preferred training tools and methods, and develops curriculum to result in the maximum participation.
Coordinates content review of marketing materials with marketing staff to ensure that the correct and most directed messages are conveyed to ensure buy-in to the training programs which are established.
Works closely with IT and web staff to ensure that on-line programming is current, directed, focused and properly presented and marketed.

Oral Communication – Professionally communicates and is comfortable in on-on-one discussions as well as conducting small and large group meetings. Responds thoughtfully and promptly to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.
Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have very good knowledge of and experience with: contact management, database, Internet, project management, presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing software. Preference would be given to having experience and skills in using web-based communication and training tools.
