The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF), a national non-profit based in Alexandria, VA is actively seeking a Development and Communications Manager to add to its management team. The MCSF’s mission is to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for higher education to children of Marines and former Marines, especially those whose parents were killed or wounded. This new position was created to align strategic development with the scope and vision of the organization.

The DCM will create and implement campaign communication tactics in support of development efforts, create and distribute materials for the Foundation’s Stewardship Program, and the Annual Fund and Planned Giving Program as well as oversee website operations to include content, messaging, online giving effort and use of social media. In addition, this individual will be responsible for grant proposals, event marketing and prospect research. Incumbent will have an excellent opportunity to build and shape the growth of this well respected organization, and play a key role in the leadership of the organization as part of the core management team.

This position is a dynamic and evolving career opportunity that requires six to eight years development and communication experience, with proven experience in development and stewardship. Incumbent must have outstanding written communication skills and very strong verbal skills, in addition to strong project management skills, and an ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
