Playful hound mix needs more room to run! (Northern Virginia)

Pete is our black and tan hound mix. He is just over a year old, and current on all shots. He will need a rabies booster in August. We got him last summer as a runaway. We aren't sure of his breed, but he is definitely a hound, and runs and runs and has found every possible way out of our fenced in yard. He just follows his nose and though sweet and playful and patient with our kids, he just isn't meant to be in a yard. He also really loves other dogs and would be so much happier with some space and some friends. He is kennel trained and housebroken and extremely smart. We are asking for a 75.00 rehoming fee, which will include his kennel, though we were just about to get him a bigger one. We want to find him a good home, not just get him off our hands. If you have a fenced in yard and are interested, it needs to be a very high fence! He needs room to run and explore lots. Please email if interested. Include info about your yard and the space you'd have available for Pete to run around. He really is a wonderful dog, just not a good fit for our yard and family. Thanks!
