Our client provides government agencies and businesses with information technology products and services. The company’s services include consulting, systems intergration, network design, a reseller of state-of-the-art software products to Government and
Commercial customers, is seeking an energetic professional to join their sales team in Herndon. If you have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, great attention
to detail, as well as the willingness to learn, then we want to talk to you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promotes the sales of products through direct solicitation via telephone.
Drive customer registration and attendance for marketing events promoting products.
Maintains records of calls made.
Builds relationships with vendor sales representatives.
Maintains a territory with a sales quota.
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from trade shows, directmail responses, aged leads, resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Handles inbound sales calls to convert into sales.
Builds and maintains customer relationships.
Schedules onsite customer meetings for vendor sales reps.
Prepares reports of business transactions.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Investigates and resolves customer problems.
Maintain thorough understanding of products and technology through regular online/live trainings and attending vendor and industry seminars.
Represent company and vendors at trade-shows.
Process purchase orders and follow-up with customers and vendors to confirm shipment and delivery.
Work with accounts payable as needed to assist with resolution of collections issues.
Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
College degree required.
1-2 years of sales or marketing experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with working database software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
Understanding of computers and computer networks.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to make cold calls
Strong time management skills.
Ability to quickly learn and become fluent in computer software and hardware products
