SSCI has an opening for an Oracle database operator on the second shift (3-11pm) working Sunday to Thursday.. We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years experience.

General roles & responsibilities:

• Perform monitoring, administration, & troubleshooting of Oracle database
• Respond to customer requests and open trouble tickets
• Monitor database backups

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years operations experience
• Good understanding of database concepts
• Knowledgeable in SQL, Oracle
• Good understanding of backup/restoration techniques
• Good analytical capabilities
• Good oral & written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal/team skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Well organized and detail oriented

Clearance:

• Candidate must be a US citizen
• Security clearance is required to start work & will be obtained by employer prior to start of employment

Education:

• Technical degree or equivalent work experience
