Aclara Software is seeking a high-energy Business Systems Analyst to join our Professional Services team in Tempe, AZ. or Reston, VA (outside of Washington, DC). The qualified candidate should take great pride in delivering high-quality system implementations to satisfied customers in the energy industry. You will be required to support the implementation of Aclara’s three-tier software products and work with a team of project managers, system engineers, developers and other analysts.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Gathering business and functional requirements through client engagements
  
• Preparing functional designs of product customizations and features
  
• Performing complex data analysis tasks
  
• Preparing test plans & scripts and executing test cases
  
• Conducting customer training and developing training materials
  
• Providing system support and troubleshooting
  
• Work closely with customers and the implementation team to deliver successful implementations.

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree and 1-2 years of related work experience or a strong interest in building a career in the energy software industry. We are also looking for more qualified applicants with a Bachelors or Masters degree with 2-4 years of analyst work experience in the energy industry or software implementation.
  
• Strong analytical skills (including proficiency in Excel)
  
• Demonstrated verbal, writing, and presentation skills
  
• Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, PL/SQL or Access
  
• Client or “customer-oriented” experience
  
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
  
• Familiarity with TIBCO and web services interactions is a plus
