Rapidly growing Washington, DC based firm and highly recognized social media leader is actively pursuing a Senior Software Engineer with Drupal expertise. This is full-time position and a chance to be part of a team that delivers an innovative suite of web services through a product that is transforming the healthcare industry and having real world impact!
As a true engineering position, not just development, this job will include working closely with company leadership in designing, architecting, building, testing and deploying new products and functionality. The Senior Software Engineer will be intimately involved with all strategic development decisions, including hiring and mentoring product development team members.
The Senior Software Engineer position calls for a candidate with:
• 5+ years of total work experience including at least 1 year of active Drupal development
• 3 years of extensive LAMP environment experience
• Competence with PHP, XML, CSS, AJAX and web services is expected
• Experience with social media platforms and working with user-generated content is highly desirable
This is a hands-on product development position heavily emphasizing Drupal in a LAMP environment, with an emphasis on developing custom modules, dynamics views, and enhanced social networking and groups’ functionality.
Previous exposure to medical systems, activity with health care communities or an understanding of health related nomenclature and terminology is preferred. The working environment is highly team oriented and requires an understanding and willingness to operate within iterative or agile rapid delivery process and motivation to deliver complex systems on tight deadlines.
