Department Overview
Symantec Managed Services places resource-intensive IT operations under the management of experienced specialists so the company can optimize existing resources and focus on strategic IT projects. Delivered under strict service-level agreements (SLAs), Symantec Managed Services provides continuous expertise and value though a combination of onsite activities, on-call assistance, and remote monitoring. Enterprises benefit from increased operational efficiency, lower costs, and reduced exposure to IT risk.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, maintain and implements software modules within Symantec's Managed Services development team.
• The primary focus of this position will be working on a team to design and develop the software to run the Symantec MSS operations center.
• Emphasis is on ASP.Net/C# programming and experience using MS SQL Server.
Qualifications
• Required Education: BS in Computer Science, or 4-6 years in-depth knowledge experience of required programming languages.
• 3+ yrs Web development experience (ASP.Net, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript)
• 3+ yrs Experience in application architecture, design, and development of object-oriented Windows and Web-based applications
• Strong problem solving/analytical skills
• Fast learner, self motivated, team player
• Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Java programming experience preferred
• Working knowledge of graphics tools (ex., Adobe Photoshop) preferred.
• TSQL programming experience on Microsoft SQL Server databases preferred.
