A computer network consulting company in Tyson's Corner seeks a Help Desk Technician at the entry level to coordinate and help with all activities in the IT Department. The position will report to the Helpdesk Supervisor and assist the IT Team. Part time and full time candidates are being sought. Previous experience is NOT required. However, the ideal candiate should have strong interpersonal skills, experience working with computers for school or in previous jobs and a strong focus on quality assurance.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to answer helpdesk calls and enter helpdesk tickets into the company ticketing system. After demonstrating competency and learning, additional tasks may include assisting customers with basic Tier 1 computer problems. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience with an established, respected I.T. support provider and provides opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities
• Answer phone calls in a friendly and prompt manner. Enter all information accurately into helpdesk ticketing system
• Provide some Tier 1 help desk support for hardware and software issues for users
• Maintain inventory of customers systems
• Assist Sales and Service managers with basic administrative tasks during slow periods

Requirements
• Great customer service skills
• Basic working knowledge of general computing terms
• Energetic and vibrant personality with a desire to learn.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communicator

Hours for this position are between 8 A.M. and 6 P.M. with various shifts available for part time employees and will pay $12 per hour. College students and career changers looking to break into the industry are encouraged to apply.
