Primary Purpose: Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and individual training for various types of computer equipment and technology.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Associate degree in computer-related technology, preferred or equivalent computer experience
Special Knowledge/Skills: Basic networking skills preferred
Experience: Must have experience in hardware maintenance and repair in a PC environment. Must have experience with desktop applications for Windows operating systems.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of personal computer hardware and software
2. Have some knowledge of local and wide area network systems
3. Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral products including printers, VOIP phones, and smart phones.
4. Provide technical assistance to end-users.
5. Maintain and stock peripheral supplies and hardware components.
6. Assist in coordination of warranty work for hardware repairs.
7. Provide individual technical training and coaching.
8. Install and configure software applications.
9. Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
10. Possess ability to identify, diagnose and find effective solutions to problems related to computer hardware and software.
11. Show ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, vendors and consultants
12. Act as a team player with the ability to work independently.
13. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
14. Possess the ability to communicate effectively and positively both orally and in writing with teachers, administrators and other staff.
15. Other duties as assigned.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Maintain positive attitude when dealing with customers. Frequent local travel (Within 20 miles). Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Daily lifting and carrying of heavy objects (45 lbs. or over). Walking, standing, bending, stooping and/or climbing.
Pay commensurate with work experience. This is a full time, permanent position.
Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30 pm.
