JOB SUMMARY
This position directly supports the Director whom serves as the principal advisor on all matters related to the oversight and governance of Pentagon Area Common IT systems and services to ensure strategic implementation and management of an integrated IT infrastructure providing the highest level of service to the Pentagon Components/Agencies. Plan and execute the full spectrum of activities to develop joint Pentagon Component/Agency recommendations to the Pentagon CIO for Pentagon Area common IT requirements, integrated architectures, policies, procedures and investment programs (resource strategies).
- Perform technical analyses and research.
- Recommend solutions/alternatives for issues impacting the IT enterprise networks.
- Research technical/business issues.
- Develop IT policies, make recommendations as needed to support IT infrastructure development and maturation.
- Facilitate and coordinate board meetings with the Director and other staff members for the projects that your will be responsible for.
- Draft agendas and prepare meeting presentations/briefings.
- Track and monitor action items captured at meetings.
- Attend conferences/seminars.
- Provide Technical Analysis and Research for the Operational Requirements and Performance Board (ORPB) responsible for Requirements Identification, Documentation, and Validation.
- The Wire Technology Working Group (WTWG) responsible for validating users’ wireless requirements, overseeing the development of the Pentagon Wireless Architecture, and developing operational concepts.
- Excellent communications skills (writing and speaking) required.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
B.S. Information Technology or Computer Science
