The Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross has an exciting opportunity for golf fans! Volunteers are needed for the concession tents at the 2008 AT&T National Hosted by Tiger Woods. The tournament will take place at the Congressional County Club in Bethesda, MD Wednesday July 2, 2008 -Sunday July 8, 2008. This is a great opportunity for the Chapter to raise thousands of dollars to meet disaster relief needs in the community and provide a unique benefit to those that volunteer on behalf of the Red Cross.
Volunteers are welcome to view the golf tournament before or after their shift. Many famous name golfers are expected to attend, including the tournament host, Tiger Woods. A free meal is included with every shift and free parking will be provided. There will be more details to follow about security restrictions and training will be provided. Volunteers must wear khaki shorts or pants, a white polo style shirt and closed toe shoes. Volunteers will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Volunteers must be able to work a full shift and they may work more than one shift if desired. Interested participants do not have to be current Red Cross volunteers.
