Our Vienna, VA office is currently searching for a Web Designer who will work closely with the Creative Director to develop and implement creative across a variety of channels. This includes, but is not limited to maintaining two corporate web sites and templates for web applications. This position requires an ambitious, motivated and detail-oriented Web design professional with experience direct mail, email, online advertising, search marketing, sales tools, website content, conference sponsorships and trade show exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain corporate marketing web sites and create and maintain templates for web applications.
o Maintenance includes but is not limited to: administering an ASP.NET content management system (Marqui), administering marketing automation software (Marketo), tracking web site traffic, and coordinating server operations with IT staff.
• Manage any/all web site design/redesign initiatives for TARGUSinfo
• Provide CMS assistance with Localeze
• Manage relationships with interactive vendors.
• Design and produce banner ads and HTML emails for online advertising and other marketing efforts.
• Rapidly create graphic prototypes of websites and other graphic arts.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in ASP.Net 2.0 Themes using Skins, HTML, XHTML and CSS
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (CS3 required, CS4 a plus )
• Proficiency in web standards and SEO
• Proficiency in using Adobe CS to produce graphics and optimize them for delivery on the web.
• Knowledge of usability best practices, section 508 compliance, information architecture, search engine optimization and UI design.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, ASP or ASP.NET a plus.
• A creative mind equipped with the communication skills necessary to understand highly technical concepts and visually interpret them while maintaining our established brand identity.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight/last minute deadlines.
• Ability to manage various projects at once while producing accurate and high-quality work and managing expectations.
• Innovative approach to creatively meet the constraints of cost, time, and specifications.
• Must have a strong portfolio of online design projects.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years experience
