Job Description:
• Design, develop and deploy an enterprise web portal and its interfaces to external portals using JBOSS application server, JBOSS portal, content management systems like JBOSS and Nuxeo, MySQL database, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Define technical specifications to support the functional requirements and interface wireframes including enterprise web architecture, technology and tool selection, widget architecture, database design, and web 2.0 technologies.
• Develop and deploy different types of widgets/portlets (RSS feed driven, CMS driven, web service, WSRP) using web technologies such as JSP, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, XSLT, AJAX and CSS supporting Internet Explorer, Firefox, Apple Safari and Google Chrome web browsers.
• Develop single sign-on (SSO) interfaces between Affynyty and external healthcare portals using SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0, XML Browser Post and other approaches.
• Build the web portal and its components using software methodologies such as Agile Development and Modeling, Scrum, and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Develop e-mail and mail-merge interfaces to distribute personalized e-mails to thousands of enterprise users using standard SMTP protocols.
• Create and conduct unit tests, work with QA to fix issues as part of system and integration testing.
Skills:
• At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience with development and deployment of commercial web applications.
• Significant hands-on experience with JBOSS application server and portal, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, JavaScript and Web 2.0 technologies.
• Experience with developing widget-driven portals a definite plus, experience with developing healthcare portals a definite plus.
• Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs, possess significant knowledge of web architectures, XML schemas and browser specific compatibility issues.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Collaborative approach to problem solving, ability to understand client’s business priorities and translate them into technically compelling solutions
