Responsibilities
The Web 2.0 Specialist is the bridge between Marketing and the Sales team. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of combined Web Marketing and Technology experience, preferably in a technical sales or start-up environment. To be successful in this job you must have a technical orientation, a passion for marketing and good design, and great attention to detail. As the head of Marketing Technology, the Web 2.0 Specialist will work closely the Web designer to integrate shopping cart functionality into the site, use software submission tools to distribute our freeware and free trial software, build out drip marketing and sophisticated nurture campaigns with our marketing automation software, edit and post videos shot with a Flip Mino or Flip Ultra, make edits and additions to the website using WordPress CMS, execute link building campaigns and other SEO tactics,

Key Duties
• Manage multiple ongoing e-mail marketing programs from conception to fruition
• Manage lead generation and Salesforce.com integration for sales department, including list buys and database management
• Collateral management – videos, podcasts, white papers, product documentation, brochures, logo library, (in-house design maintenance)
• PR – press releases, case studies, online social media, Trade show coordination, webcasts
• Web site maintenance – onsite SEO, updating careers, case studies, press releases, events, etc.
• Promotional material coordination and vendor coordination
• Provide direct support to Chief Marketing Officer

Job Qualifications
The Web 2.0 Specialist plays a vital role in working with the Chief Marketing Officer to ensure the success of AppAssure’s marketing efforts which directly affect the success of the inside sales team. The Web 2.0 Specialist works closely with the web designer, social marketing manager, and CMO to strategize and implement several marketing programs and initiatives including email marketing programs, lead generation, database maintenance, video/collateral development, Web site and social media management, vendor relations, webcasts, etc. Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of solid marketing technology experience with software sales marketing experience preferred. Here’s what else would make you a great fit:

• Experience with Marketing Automation Software HIGHLY recommended (ie: Marketo/Eloqua)
• Working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Suite (InDesign Photoshop) preferred
• Experience editing and posting videos to YouTube (ideally using a Flip)
• Knowledge of e-mail marketing and/or experience with ESP (Email Service Provider) software/systems highly recommended
• Experience with CMS systems preferred (Salesforce.com experience recommended)

Key Requirements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Must have a Bachelors Degree preferably in Business, Marketing or Communications
• High technical aptitude/early adopter (We’re looking for the person everyone calls when their laptop blue screens, to set up their home theatre, or to set up their twitter account.)
• 3-5 years of Marketing experience, sales-based preferred, start-up software industry is a plus
• Experience and proficiency in copy writing/editing including technical writing styles
• Must have general knowledge of web 2.0 marketing and social media including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg, etc.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be very detail-oriented and organized
• Must work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Must be able to work on multiple projects at once
• Must be able to take direction but also think analytically and creatively at times
• Must be a team player and have experience working with multiple contacts and vendors
• May be asked to work outside of normal office hours on special projects
