J. Spargo & Associates, Inc. is an event management company located in Fairfax, VA. We have an opening for a .NET Web/Application Developer who will design, develop, maintain and enhance a global, multi-tiered business application. The applicant will be asked to work independently, or lead others on a project team, as assigned. The applicant will also be asked to leverage their skills in developing the application’s integration points with a diverse set of existing systems; quality, functionality and performance will be in high demand. The applicant must have a thorough understanding of the available technology, tools and existing designs. They will be asked to collaborate with business staff, IT colleagues and other stakeholders to evaluate defined complex business requirements and processes, determine infrastructure and recommend solution options.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in CIS or related field
• Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) preferred
• 4+ yrs of professional work experience
• 4+ yrs experience with Microsoft development languages (C#, ASP.net, XML, etc.)
• 4+ yrs experience with MS SQL, Procedure, packages
• 4+ yrs experience with RDBMS design, data modeling
• 3+ yrs experience with enterprise software development life-cycle
• Proficiency with software architecture design on Microsoft .NET framework platform
• 3+ yrs experience with design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• 3+ yrs of work experience in an analytical role indentifying and solving problems
• 3+ yrs experience with creating and managing web services
• Experience with writing SQL and developing Stored Procedures and Triggers against SQL Server Database
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or work in a team-oriented project
• No travel required
