Maybe you cant adopt right now, Perhaps you can volunteer a few hours a month to help your local animal rescue with the pets. Check with your local rescue to see if they need help! Maybe they need help with Cleaning cages, or even walking the dogs, or just speding time with the animals.
If your an animal rescue group, please come on by out site and add your rescue group so others can find you so they can adopt the pets in need. Its all about helping the animals. Please help us help the animals!
I missed a couple of "Rotties free to good home" ads on here and was wondering if maybe there was someone else that has a Rottie that they are no longer able to keep for whatever reason (EXCEPT aggression/ extreme behavior problems). I have 2 neutered, ultra friendly, healthy, VERY affectionate male furkids who needs another furkid to be their sibling and to pal around with. (my babies pictured below...)
I do not crate my fursons so the new furkid would definately HAVE to be housebroken and non-destructive... My family consists of myself and my fiance (with occassional visits from my adult children, family members and my minor nieces and nephews) so the new furkid definately needs to be good with kids and people in general.
My furkids vacation with me and are INDOOR family members. Their outside time consists of walks, camping in the summer, dog parks, trips to the store or romps in the yard when I am outside with them and my furson has never been chained outside for any reason. I do not believe in it. I do have a fenced yard as well.
I have owned/fostered Rotties before and am VERY familiar with the breed. I absolutely love them. They aren't bad dogs, just have bad reps due to some bad owners... Anywho, if you feel that you have a Rotten kid that fits this description, is under 7 years, healthy, gets along GREAT with other dogs and you can no longer keep him or her, please email me. I would love to hear from you.
I have gone to the shelter already and talk to them so I don't need the shelter or rescue information... I am looking to help out a family, I would rather go this route because it is now MY preference and would like to keep the family up to date with their pet. I did call the PG Animal shelter inquiring about the Rotties there (where I DID put in an open application and have been approved)... Most of the rotties they have are humane holds awaiting court cases, one was dog aggressive (and I REFUSE to put my furkids in harms way), the one on the page was a stray and one was biter which is why I stated the exception in this ad. So all rescue/shelter responses will be deleted...
Lastly, if you are asking an outrageous fee for the furkid that you cannot keep (and will be taking to the pound where they will not be giving you anything for your furkid), then I apologize but this is not the ad for you either. As I stated, if you had to take the dog to the shelter or a rescue, you would be giving it to them for free. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying give me your furkid and I AM willing to pay a reasonable rehoming fee for the right furkid (up to $100), but NOT on the level of a purchase (which isn't allowed here anyway). I understand that our furkids cost like our hairless kids (and both my fur kids have health insurance and are vetted regularly) and I have no problem with that, but I do have a problem with pet sales here... Sorry....
So, if you have a Rottie and you want him or her to have a great home Or even an American Bulldog, Mastiff, or a large bully breed, then by all means we would love to hear from you, if not PLEASE don't feel OBLIGATED to respond and just move on to the next ad.
The shelter he is in is not given government money because the town Sebastion is in is so poor that they don't have a shelter, instead the animal control person takes all the dogs cats horses and other animals into her yard. She tries really hard to find them homes, but if homes are not found she has to put the animals down. She really hates to do it, but she is running out of room for the cats and she won't be able to take in any more if some don't get adopted out.
Unfortunately, I can not board animals in my home at this time but I'd be happy to drop in on your pets in your home as often as possible if you're on vacation.
I have a large dog of my own who is very dog and cat friendly and who would accompany your dog when we go on walks (unless you indicate that your dog does not do well with other dogs). Frankly, I would feel horribly being in the great outdoors with another persons dog and knowing that mine was sitting on the couch looking out the window.
I'm comfortable with all breeds. I am also comfortable with a wide variety of training tools or collar choices that you choose to use on your dog during walks. I will NOT, however, take your dog to the dog park since I am not overly familiar with your individual dog and feel that doing so would be putting your dog and the dog park occupants at unnecessary risk. If your dog is a regular at a local dog park, we can discuss the possibility of my continuing that regular trip (as long as our philosophies on responsibly management at the dog park are similar).

10 dollars for an hour long walk (with my dog as well....but no other dogs. I will not double book!). 7 dollars for 30 minutes.
15 dollars for an hour long walk alone. 9 dollars for 30 minutes.

Remus is a very sweet boy. He has a harder time than Romlus with his back legs, but he is getting stronger each day! He LOVES to eat and is very chatty! Remus loves to get baths...he just relaxes and enjoys the warm water! Remus will be quiet a cuddly kitty...and he loves to be swaddled and held like a baby!
Romulus is a bit stronger than his brother Remus.--and is doing well improving his leg muscles. He always tells you what is on his mind. Romulus loves to play with toys and attacks any fun little stuffed mice! Romulus has a great personality and loves people and other kitties! They are 9 weeks old as of May 11.
Robin is a very comical girl. She loves to play and get herself into silly places! We call her a "two foot cat" because she likes to be within two feet of her people at all times. She has not proven to be a lap cat yet (but perhaps she could turn into one with more time and love)...but she MUST be near her family. She just sits quietly and watches you...to make sure you are safe. Robin is a devoted family member with a quiet nature. She does well with other cats. Robin really does deserve a wonderful home where she knows she can live with them forever!
Robin is a very petite 9-10 month old sweetheart. She has amber eyes but doesn't photograph well (like many darker colored cats). She is up to date on her shots and will be spayed this Tuesday...so she can retire from motherhood!

Anna is very sweet. She likes to talk but has a very quiet meow--you can hardly hear it. She loves to sit with you and be at your side. Anna does very well with other cats and is good with dogs (although she is curious about them at first!). Due to her very patient nature, we think Anna would be fine with kind and gentle children. Anna was an outstanding personality and deserves the best of the best in terms of a new family and a new life.
Anna is a very uniquely colored calico/tortioseshell mix. She has stunning green eyes...but she always blinks at the sound of the flash...so you can never see them in her pictures! She has big ears--but we think this is because she may have some Siamese in her (she had 2 Siamese mix kittens). Anna is about 2 years old and is a medium, short-haired sweetheart. Anna will be spayed this Tuesday...and is up to date on her shots.
Dogs must be current on vaccinations and have a clean fecal or wormed within the past year (we can do this for you for a small fee). This is to protect all dogs -- ours and boarders.

Thank you for your interest in Cookie. She is just coming into the age (10 weeks) when she would be able to go to a new home. She is already litter box trained, and is eating hard food, and very playful, and quite loving.
She is for sale for $650. I searched a LOT before I bought the mother (and I buy lots of stuff on CL) and found that this price, for this breed, is not only the fair price, but the entry level price. Most 'kitteries' take reservations. I just wanted to have kittens for my kids, and so am not setting up a business. I also donated one for a local charity, and the sales price was $750 in auction.
Here is some more information on the breed. The UK has a bit more 'history' with the breed than the US, as there are only a handful of breeders on this side.
