As with most places, a one month deposit (equal to the rent),and one month notice are the basic requirements. I do not require for you to stay through a one year lease but six months is the minimum. And if you have a pet, that would more than likely be fine. There would be no extra charge or a silly pet deposit but you would have to vacuum and keep the place clean more often. Also, no smoking inside the house.

About the house:

It is a 3 level single family home that was built in 1985. There are four bedrooms on the third floor. Your room measures about 12 ft x 12 ft if not slightly more. You�d share a fairly large bathroom with two others � Morgan and Chris, who keep it tidy as should you. There is also a half-bathroom on the main level. Also, on the main level are the kitchen, family room, living room, and the large deck mentioned above. As for me, I live in the basement, which has a separate entrance and laundry but that is separated. Utilities are split among all of us. I don't know at the moment what the utilities will cost but my rough estimate is $100/person and that'd include internet. I try not to use a lot of water and electricity and hope you do too (for both our costs and the planet).

my roommate is moving out, so I'm looking for someone to share a studio with me starting on or around December 1st. She is still trying to figure out her move-out day. it's a large, shared room with dining and kitchen area and separate huge walk-in closet/bathroom. Rent is $750.44 per person, per month, plus around $30 for cable/internet. Everything else is included. You will have to be added to the lease with me through august 13th, 2010 so either you need good credit or you need a cosigner. I believe there is a $35 fee to apply with the building to be added to the lease.

I am a 22-year old female, recent graduate who is working full-time in dupont circle. I am looking for someone around my age that is looking to live in an awesome, safe neighborhood near dupont circle and adams morgan, but wants to save money by sharing a room. As for transportation, we are technically closest to the adams morgan/zoo metro stop, but I usually walk to the dupont circle metro which is about a ten minute walk. there is a metro bus stop right in front of the apt. building to goes to metro center and farragut square or mt. pleasant, so it's really convenient. it's about a twenty minute walk to the columbia heights metro stop/shopping area as well. There are like 5 grocery stores within walking distance.

The building has a pool open during the summer and a door attendant to receive packages for you during the day. they are really on top of maintenance requests and the building is really clean.
