Eileen and Mike have a beautiful home in a nice area, which proved a great base for exploring DC. Eileen and Mike are great hosts - caring, interesting and funny - and helped to make our trip into a holiday. They were especially helpful with lifts to the Metro, information about buses and restaurants and walking around the local area (which is stunning). Eileen's breakfasts were fantastic. It was so nice to not have to stay in an anonymous hotel, and so nice to be able to come and go when we pleased, unlike many B and Bs. I would certainly recommend them! Thank you Eileen and Mike."

The cabin has a modern glass door woodstove (firewood included), electric baseboard heat, full kitchen (refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster and coffee maker) bathroom/shower and large wrap around "kid safe" deck with deck table, chairs and umbrella. There is a TV/VCR/DVD in loft for the kids. A security deposit may be required. A signed rental agreement returned to us via US Mail within 7 days of initial booking authorizing credit card charge is required to confirm and hold the reservation. A 2 night minimum rental period is required and rental period begins and ends at Noon. The bedroom has a queen bed in it, the couch is approximately the size of a twin mattress and does not fold out. I will provide sheets and towels. We are going away for vacation Thanksgiving week and are looking for someone to rent our apartment and look after our cat while we�re gone.

About the apartment
Our spacious apartment is on the 4th floor (top floor) and has great views from the 2 large bedrooms, and hardwood floors throughout. There is roof access from the small balcony with great views of the city. Comfortable furnature and lighting, and radiators in both bedrooms and the living room make it very cozy and warm.)

You can see a brilliant sunrise from both bedrooms and the capital from one of them. Each bedroom is furnished and equipped with a queen sized bed- one with a firm mattress and the other with a soft mattress.

The living room has a 42� flat screen TV and a DVD player, two couches and a dining room table. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a small oven that you can fit a surprisingly large turkey in.

High-speed wireless internet and cleaning fees included.

Coin laundry in the basement.

Sheets and bedding provided.

About our cat, Mishka:
She is very low maintenance (as most cats are) and very �polite�. She is the softest cat you�ve ever touched and she doesn�t meow loudly or beg for food. She likes company but generally keeps a very low profile when there are new people around. About every three mornings she gets rambunctious and runs around playing with her toys, but you won�t hear her if the bedroom door is closed. She needs to be fed once or twice a day whichever works for you as long as she gets about 1 cup of food a day. We will leave sardines but she can probably live without them for a week if you can�t stand the smell of them. Her litter box (which is in an attractive enclosed cabinet in the bathroom) needs to be cleaned out once every day/couple of days. Her fur doesn�t build up too much as we have hardwood floors, but we will comb her thoroughly and vacuum all of the furniture before we leave.
