Silver Spring / White Oak Maryland 20904 located Commercial Service Business Office - Warehouse

This is a part-time position (20-25 hours) to start initially with full-time as justified by workload.

We are a small established service business with an owner who is retiring. New Management set-up the successor company with new books and accounting using Quick Books Enterprise. The intent is to start the new company with a new fresh set of accounting books with blank pages. Applicants must be well versed with the Enterprise version of Quick Books.

Work will be done at our office and possibly remotely Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a person(s) who lives close to our Silver Spring / White Oak office to start initially part-time 20-25 hours a week with full-time as justified, which we feel will be full-time rather quickly.

Job includes all aspects of setting up and running a new office-warehouse and working directly with the owner to coordinate the transition of data from the existing company to the new company. Information from the current company and almost all of the information for the new company must be entered or confirmed each entry has been entered correctly in Quick Books. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, expenses, etc.

In addition to the books, individuals will be involved with almost all the duties to run a small business office and Interact with the owner and field technicians. Our technicians work remotely at commercial locations almost 100% of time. The office - warehouse serves as the hub to dispatch technicians, receive materials, and run daily operations.

Applicants must be able to manage a small office, be exceptionally well organized, a self-starter, and able to be productive with a minimum of supervision. This position is for a "hands-on" individual, a team player who knows how to take the initiative.

We are looking for a person who is trustworthy, professional, reliable, and can work closely with the owner. We value experience, maturity, and wisdom and need someone who can offer input, ideas, suggestions, and oversite.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Take messages, greetings & data entry
Maintain office: open in the mornings, receive packages, order supplies
Assisting with office administration tasks
Filing, scanning and copying, uploading documents
Generate email correspondences
Communicate with vendors
Map imported banking transactions
Record payroll journals
Record accounts payable vendor bills and provides payment status
Generate accounts receivable invoices and record payments
Record & Research deposit transactions
Generate Excel spreadsheets
Provide client status reports
Provide an audit trail of all documents
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

This is an Hourly Paid At-Will Position with a 90-Day probation period Paid Hourly. After 90-Days this position may include all company benefits.
