This position works under the supervision of the Payroll Manager on all aspects of payroll processing through ADP software to include entering, verifying and maintaining employee data, computing wages, and ensuring that employees receive timely and accurate payment of wages. This individual also assists with preparation of summary payroll reports and other monthly reports as necessary.
Collect and verify employee data.
Compute wages, deductions, benefits, etc.
Review computed wages to ensure accuracy.
Issue paychecks for legal and non-legal staff.
Update payroll information after yearly evaluation process for legal and non-legal staff.
Assist in preparing W-2 statements reflecting earnings, taxes and deductions.
Answer questions and resolve issues regarding payroll.
Prepare payroll reports as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree, Associate Degree or equivalent preferred in accounting, finance, or a related field. Up to five years of related work experience with comparable scope and responsibility, preferably in a law firm or other professional service environment. Strong leadership abilities, people and project management skills and an ability to identify and implement creative solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of operations, systems and procedures. Must have excellent tenure and outstanding communication skills!
