Payroll Lead - UltiPro Experience

Do you have at least 5 years of strong payroll experience along with working knowledge of UltiPro software? Our client, a charitable organization near Union Station is looking for a Long-Term Temporary Payroll Lead to ensure that their payrolls are issued accurately and timely. This includes overseeing the calculation of gross to net pay, withholdings, and other related payments.
Duties will include overseeing the day-to-day operations associated with the payroll, payroll tax and wage garnishments; auditing payroll prior to processing; and working in collaboration with HR on benefits and other deductions. Will also support accounting with closing activities related to staffing costs, and handle wire transfers for overseas staff.
Experience with the Ultimate (UltiPro) Payroll system is a must along with fluency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Experience with payroll conversions is also needed as well as a professional level of technical and managerial knowledge and experience to manage the operational activities of the team.
Not-for-Profit experience, international payroll experience and a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification are all preferred, but not required.
This Temporary position will start immediately and last for 18 months or so while the department tackles some internal projects The job will be performed remotely at first, and will probably move into their offices near Union Station after the first of the year.
