The vase is elegantly shaped and illustrated on artistic conception of an ancient Chinese poetry, showing a pair of pheasants on a pine tree and blooming prune flowers standing by, which symbolizes luckiness, happiness, beauty, longevity, nobleness, and strength. The poem is calligraphically pained on the vase: "天气晴和拂晓风，园中一片静幽幽，真须强学人间语，世上无人解鸟言. ", (Translation: The dawn is fine with breeze, the garden is quiet in peace. Should be in human words, not known are bird notes.) Picture with poetry is very typical in Chinese painting. The poetry was excerpted from Wan Anshi (王安石, 1021-1806 A.D), a famous Chinese economist, statesman, chancellor and poet in Song Dynasty).

The reproduction is done in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China, which is known as the porcelain Center of the world, where ceramics production may have started in the Han dynasty (汉, 206 BC -- 220 AD).

Its measurements are (in inches): height 22", diameter (from the top to the bottom): opening 5", neck 4", widest part of the body 12", and base 8".

Paid $10,000. Asking $2,000, or the best offer. The vase is still in its original packing box, and has never been brought out. The packing box is covered by textile with typical Chinese antique printing.
