This 6 volume definitive biography of founding father Thomas Jefferson is required reading for any serious student of early American Virginia colonial and revolutionary history. All are from the first 1948 edition for this set by Little, Brown & Co. with original dust jackets, with very light signs of wear, and bindings intact. One front piece has some staining from a paper that was stored inside the cover, I noted no other issues in the other volumes. All have a frontispiece affixed to the inside cover. Please see photos for condition. This set includes a number of first editions.

Dumas Malones classic biography "Jefferson andHis Time" -- originally published in six volumes over a period of thirty-four years, between 1948 and 1982 -- was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in history and became the standard work on Jeffersons life.
