These wheels were purchased in March of 2022 directly from Ascent in Singapore. They are built in Singapore using their proprietary rim design, Sapim CXRay Spokes and DT Swiss 350 Hubs.
The wheels are in great condition. There is some brassing on the metal parts and few minor scratches or marks on the rim, but they are in great condition. Orginal tubeless tape and valves are includes. Wheels have never needed a true, were never crashed, and never even experienced a flat. These are a solid reliable wheel that is deep, stable and aero. They were aero tested to be faster than the Zipp 454 while also being more stable in crosswinds.
The ratchets are recently regressed and look like new. A picture of the inside of the hub with the ratchets removed included to show their condition. These wheels roll smoothly and have no issues with the bearings in the hubs or in the XDR driver.
My own experience is that these wheels are phenomenal to ride on flat courses and despite their depth are easier to handle than most 50mm wheels I have ridden. A very good wheelset for crits or other fast riding. They feature a very current and on trend 23mm IW in addition to a max external width of 35mm. The rims are hooked type.
They currently retail for $1900+ USD. This set weighs 1700g.
