Pastor or Church leader,
I’d like to introduce you to a new service to the Body of Christ:
The Evangelical Voice for Godly Administration, (EVGA) examines the overall doctrinal and administrative practice of a local church, to help reassure attendees, leaders and staff that their ministry is Biblical and compliant equally before God and Man, in all areas of ministry. Prv 24:16.
We are based on similar organizations that certify churches and/ministries in areas of finances, children’s programs and staffing.
How it works: Five Biblical Standards
Fulfilling the mission of the church: practicing Evangelism & Edification
Managing well organizationally and legally compliant at state and federal level
Demonstrating financial and resource integrity*
Safely ministering to everyone, especially children and young people*
Treating paid staff and/or volunteers with respect and honor*
*Ministries that are certified by similar organizations in these areas, may have already completed this standard
Following a successful application, we agree on the terms of engagement. We gather initial information and documentation, hold some meetings with the leadership, then we provide an open forum/questionnaire for anyone to make submissions. We ensure submissions are credible and hold interviews if needed.
Based on our testing, there are three possible outcomes:
Certified fully: renewable annually
Certification in process: timeline agreed for some areas that need addressing
Not certified and/or uncertifiable: due to standards being unattainable in a reasonable timeframe.
With solid certifications in place through the EVGA and many others like us, much of the spiritual and administrative pitfalls for the believer and ministry alike can be avoided.
Pricing:
Our success is based entirely on the church or ministries voluntary cooperation.
Pricing depends on the size of the congregation, staff and number of outreaches but an indicator is
approx $1,100 average certification cost and $750 annual renewal.
