About the Project
We are building a comprehensive, multi-functional SaaS platform designed to be a full-stack energy project lifecycle tool for developers, EPCs, utilities, and financiers. This platform integrates advanced solar design, project finance automation, grant aggregation, and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) orchestration. We are seeking a high-caliber developer to join a team of energy modelers, finance experts, and UI/UX designers to bring this vision to life.
Scope of Work & Technical Deliverables:
As a core developer, you will be responsible for executing against our Agile Epics and technical roadmap:
Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: Set up and manage scalable GCP infrastructure using Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and Helm charts.
Solar & ESS Design Engine: Integrate Google Maps API and KMZ parsers to model PV systems, and implement AI models for layout optimization and ESS sizing.
VPP & Hybrid Management: Build orchestration engines for virtual hybrid power plants (PV, ESS, wind, hydrogen) with real-time weather and grid API integration.
Financial & Grant Integration: Develop automated scrapers and matching algorithms for Grants.gov, CEBN, and green bank APIs (e.g., LightSource BP).
Proposal & EPC Automation: Build a UI-driven proposal engine with integrated pricing, bid submission workflows, and PDF export capabilities.
Advanced Visualization: Support the integration of 3D VR builds, virtual drone views, and imports for PVSyst and CAD files.
Analytics & White-Labeling: Create vendor scorecard systems and OEM white-labeling tools for Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) delivery.
Technical Requirements
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GKE, Artifact Registry, and Cloud Build.
Backend/DevOps: Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD automation.
Frontend: Expertise in UI/UX implementation and map-based visualizations (Google Maps JavaScript API).
AI/ML: Experience integrating ML models for proposal scoring and VPP optimization.
Monitoring: Experience with Stackdriver, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Our success will be measured by the following metrics, which you will be expected to support:
Platform Readiness: MVP deployed within 6 months.
Proposal Automation: Achieving a 90% reduction in manual quoting time.
Grant Matching Accuracy: Maintaining a ≥85% match rate for relevant funding.
VPP Optimization: Achieving a ≥10% increase in energy dispatch efficiency.
Reliability & Speed: Maintaining ≥99.9% system uptime and a deployment velocity of ≤2 weeks per sprint.
This is a great role to get involved in DevSecOps and improve your skills towards Computer Science and EE.
