Event Photographer Needed Thursday, February 6 (Washington, D.C.)

compensation: $200 - 275

We're looking for an event photographer to document one speaker at a Congressional hearing that's happening this Thursday, February 6th.

We'd like the photographer we hire to be available to be at the event from 2:20 - 4:00.
We have $200 budgeted for photos of this hearing.

*Our speaker is scheduled to testify at 3:00, but it's quite likely/possible, he may not end up testifying until later than that. We *think* he'll be finished by 4:00. But we'd love for the photographer we hire to be somewhat flexible schedule-wise, in case we need you to be there later. (And if so, we could pay an additional $75 for up to an additional hour of your time.)

A note on payments: We use a paper system for paying independent contractors, so we ask that you to please email us an invoice for your work. We'll mail you a check, which will arrive within a few weeks of the event. We also ask you to please email us a w9 form. Note that we don't report work to the IRS unless/until we hit the minimum reporting threshold of $600 in a year. But we ask photographers to send us a w9 the first time we work together since we often work with photographers more than once.
