Line Cook: $15/hr

Hustlin’ and Bustlin’ bar located in the heart of U street looking for a line cook who works efficiently in small spaces and can keep calm under pressure! Would work closely with kitchen manager to assist with prep lists and other daily tasks.
Responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications!
ServSafe certified preferred, but not required
Minimum of 1 yr experience on hot line, proven cooking experience and excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures!
35-40 hours per week
Nights, Weekends, Holidays required. Must have reliable means of transportation
Tasks/Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Setting Up/Breaking down line
Stocking station with all necessary product and equipment
Preparing food for service (prep as necessary- cutting cheese, making batter, making sauces, filling bottles, etc)
Pre-portioning items prior to service (as needed)
Firing and cooking off menu items per order following all recipe specs and standards
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Work under “clean as you go mentality” keeping station organized, clean, and up to safety and sanitation standards
Maintain a positive and professional attitude with team and customers!
Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for up to 8 hours at a time
