We are looking for front of house staff that know the magic of legit Texas food & drink.
Republic Cantina is the soon-to-launch restaurant from the team behind cult-hit bakery Republic Kolache. After building a rabidly-enthusiastic Texan audience for four years of popups, we are finally opening our own brick & mortar, and we are looking for talented and deeply personable staff as we set out to feed the masses yearning for good Texas food (finally!)
We will feature Tex Mex classics "done right," with some space reserved at the margins to get a little creative and build on the traditions of the cuisine. If you grew up with Tex Mex, you know that the culture around this food is a rich and fascinating one, and that the versions of Tex Mex that reach the East Coast are generally a poor representation. We're looking to change that.
Our bar program will be agave-centric and focused on classic craft cocktails in addition to a smallish beer & wine list. We're building a library of esoteric agave spirits (if you've been looking for a place to share your expertise of raicilla and bacanora with guests, we might be for you), and our cocktail menu skews herbaceous and savory, with some occasional nods to the kitsch of the genre.
Our atmosphere is designy and casual and our ethos is slightly irreverent, but our respect for quality food & drink is utmost.
We are currently hiring for all front of house positions (servers, bartenders, hosts & managers) for dinner service.
