This is one piece of a folding A-frame riddling rack from France. Riddling racks were used in traditional Champagne production to hold bottles at an angle during the riddling process. The angled holes allowed sediment to settle in the neck of the bottle before final corking.
Rustic panel has 60 angled holes and could be repurposed as a unique wine rack, display piece, or wall decor.
SIgns of wear/weathering consistent with vintage piece, features faded Moët & Chandon mark on upper left and "Ste Leban Marke – Épernay, France," on the upper right, indicating its origin in the Champagne-producing region of Épernay.
