Parker Tide is a veteran-owned, small business operating in DC. We serve as a value-added partner to the government. We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to work with one of our DC clients.
Period of Performance: One year and four option years.
Place of Performance: Washington, DC (telework during COVID; 2 days /week onsite.)
Hours of Operation: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30 min. lunch), 40 hours / week Mon. – Fri.
Salary: $34.00 per hour plus applicable hourly health and welfare benefit.
Benefits/Retirement Administration Support
Assist the Benefits Team with benefits, work-life, and retirement programs (FEHB, FEGLI, EAP, TSP, and the Telework Program).
Engage the workforce and promote wellness programs.
Perform triage activities for incoming benefit inquiries.
Assist with open season, seminars, and special emphasis programs.
Counsel employees regarding their benefits.
Review and process benefit forms such as FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, etc.
Correspond with FEHB carriers, MetLife, OPM, and TSP on behalf of the employee.
Request military documents from DFAS, provide employees with deposit information.
Correspond with payroll regarding military deposits and other benefit related items.
Provide briefings for new hire orientation.
Coordinate logistics for work-life, benefits, and retirement programs.
Maintain records in benefits-related information systems (e-Comp, FHR Navigator, FPPS.)
Correspond with various agencies to obtain information to compile service history for retirement purposes.
Ability to calculate redeposit service, FICA, and military deposits.
Maintain complete records of all activities and actions.
High School Graduate
3 years providing advice and information on Federal employee benefits, to include retirement, health insurance, and life insurance.
3 years preparing retirement estimates via automated retirement calculation (Fed-HR).
3 years calculating service computation dates for retirement, leave, and RIF.
3 years preparing retirement packages for submission to OPM.
3 years entering benefits documents into the Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS).
3 years entering benefits elections (health and life) into automated personnel / payroll system.
