The PEP Adjudication Team is responsible for the review of alerting customers triggered via a system as potential PEP matches. Escalated alerts are reviewed in order to confirm matches, compare titles and relationships to the PEP definition, and add confirmed relationships to the program for investigations to be conducted.
High Level Process:
• Alerts generated from the centralized records are loaded into a system for review.
• Investigators review and identify potential matches in the system by comparing identifying information found through bank records, public information, and data provided in the system from Dow Jones. Identifying information may include, but is not limited to, full name, date of birth, geography, occupation, and family relationships.
• Non-matches are “cleared” by Investigators with supporting comments referencing differences identified between the customer and the PEP(s).
• Potential matches and alerts with a lack of identifying information are escalated by the Investigator to Bank personnel for further review.
Duration: 6-8 weeks
