Online or In-Person Tutoring (Washington, DC)

Not sure how to be a teacher but Coronavirus is forcing you to be? I can help. I am here to assist your student with their extra schoolwork. I am a 30's male, recent graduate of American University with a 3.96 GPA, which hopefully speaks to my academic prowess. I am a CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certified tutor in over 9 subjects. I have been tutoring a variety of subjects over the last seven years to students between 5 and 45. I also have extensive experience writing: I served as my college newspaper's Managing Editor and worked as a freelance writer. Although a lot of my undergrad was in biological science, making me comfortable with a plethora of dense subject matter, the bulk of my tutoring is in reading comprehension, language development, and writing. With a background as a layman, I am proficient at breaking down complex subject matter to make it easily digestible; as Einstein said, "if you can't explain it simply you don't know it well enough." I am available most evenings after 5-6 and have availability on the weekends. I can either come to you (no fever, symptom free) or we can use Zoom. I charge $35 per hour. I am also on Care.com, so have been background-checked.
