I offer online piano lessons, specifically geared to beginning students. The crucial first steps, learning to read music, learning the geography of the piano keyboard, and beginning to develop dexterity, can all be taught remotely. This introductory material can even be completed using a small 4-octave keyboard.

I earned a Bachelor's degree in Music from the College of the Holy Cross, graduating with Honors and a 3.93 GPA within the major. I've coached with excellent pianists, and regularly perform in paid recitals for the public in Boston, MA.
My method focuses on learning to read music, a skill with many benefits. Reading music simplifies the process of learning other instruments or learning to sing. It increases appreciation of music in all styles. Music notation is, at its core, a coordinate system in two dimensions, so learning it cannot but help develop the related skill of mathematical reasoning. When fluency is achieved, this ability allows someone to read music literature, and to listen to it with literate ears.
I use Facetime and Zoom to meet with students. I provide lesson materials via PDF files that I e-mail to students or their parents.
