I’m selling my Yamaha YAS-23, which is a great instrument for beginners or hobby alto sax players. I’ve used this horn for 10+ years after buying from its original owner. I bought a new Selmer, which is why I’m parting with this sax. I played both horns when I got the new one and was surprised and impressed how good the sound of this Yamaha was in comparison to the new $6000+ Selmer.

The sax is play-ready, comes with a black carrying case (I’ll throw in a few reeds), a neck strap, and basic cleaning tools. The horn has normal wear and tear from regular use. With some new pads and an upgraded mouth piece, you’ll be jamming beautifully in no time.

Prefer cash but open to Venmo or CashApp. I live in the Park View neighborhood of DC and available to meet for pickup at my place or nearby.
