The National Parks Conservation Association, a 100-year old nonprofit advocacy organization and the nation’s leading voice for national parks seeks a Senior Coordinator, Foundation Relations. The Senior Coordinator will support the Foundation Relations teams with implementation of foundation strategy to develop lasting relationships and secure revenue for NPCA’s national and regional programs.
1. Grant Processing, Coordination and Management
Process grant agreements – obtain all legal signatures, copy, record and send to funder; review grant award letters for requirements, dates, etc.; draft thoughtful grant acknowledgement letters and obtain signature of President; send all required paperwork to funder within 48 hours; complete internal team tracker, making sure all dates of execution & reporting dates are recorded immediately; update Revolution Online database and add paperwork to shared Foundations team file.
2. Data Management via Revolution Online (ROI)
Serve as team power user of ROI; Update/add grant plans to database; upload proposals, reports, and interactions in ROI; pull reports (funders, prospecting, etc.) from database.
3. Research, Writing and Editing Proposals and Reports
Assist with various aspects of proposals and reports; edit and review proposals and reports as needed; Pull together attachments such as funder lists, 990, organizational budget, cash flow, audits, 501(c)3 determination, etc.; research individual foundations as requested; broad searches for prospective funders for new and existing programs.
4. File Management
Maintain grant agreements, grant award letters and acknowledgements in appropriate folders; keep proposal and report attachment files up to date with frequently requested materials; continue to update and suggest improvements to current filing system; keep fact-sheet up-to-date, share on regular basis with Development team.
5. Team Coordination & Other duties as assigned
Schedule team meetings as requested by Director and coordinate all technical aspects of meeting Senior Coordi(set up, zoom, etc.), take notes if requested; attend all Development Team meetings; process mailings as needed - magazine, annual report, NPCA reports, etc.
Salary: Salary is based on location and experience. Washington, DC (upper $40k’s – low $50k’s)
