Integrity generally means doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. To that end, many people have demonstrated integrity lately, but no one associated with Trump, because he completely lacks integrity and therefore leads by example.
Those that have demonstrated integrity lately include the 6 federal prosecutors in Wisconsin, who resigned rather than be compelled to investigate the surviving spouse of Renee Good, who was suspiciously killed by an ICE agent last week. Same goes for the prosecutors in Virginia who refused to indict Comey and NY AG Tish James because the evidence was so weak. Ditto for the prosecutors in NY who refused to indict Comey or James for the same reason. And Fed Chairman Jerome Powell appropriately refused to buckle to Trump’s demands to lower interest rates which also demonstrates tremendous integrity.
On the other hand, there are so many Trump appointees who sold their integrity when they accepted Trump’s appointment, like “little” Marco Rubio, who once said, “ For years to come, there are many people on the right... that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump." And JD Vance also sold his soul to be Trump’s VP but once labeled himself a “Never Trump guy,” and was quick to criticize Trump, using words like “idiot” and even “Hitler” to describe him. And what about Jeanine Pirro, the US Attorney for DC, the former DA in Westchester County, NY who is now improperly investigating Powell for perjury as a way of punishing Powell for refusing to bow to Trump. She also sold her integrity. There are so many more examples but the fact that Trump lacks any shred of integrity, decency or class sets a horrible precedent for America.
